Alon Model 1 speakers?

Alon Model 1 speakers?

Anyone ever heard these?  Are they any good?  Strong points?  Weaknesses?

There is a review on Audiogon.. which might be helpful. (2/05)
I have heard Alon speakers...Occam has a pair of Alon mk. IV's (photo)....sounded very good. :D

The alon 1's are getting kind of old, but the mids are still excellent, and they tend to be fairly inexpensive.  You might consider replacing the tweeter if you have the upgrade bug

btw - there are a couple on audiogon at the moment for rediculously low prices
