All you IRD Audionuts out there ready to take your stuff up another notch..well here it is..STEALTH CLOTH....I have 2 MB 100's and the Purist and have been experimenting with STEALTH CLOTH on the transformers to combat EMI..and it works....QUIET,QUIET,QUIET the noise floor becomes real Dark,Errie,Scary quiet....The sheets come in 8x11 and cost 20.00ea...and you can get them at Audionut 1-877-944-5505 Bob is the owner.
All you need is to measure the height of the transformer which is approx,2 1/2 high you can get 3 pieces out of a sheet..Once around the transformer is enough and fasten with electrical tape...NOTE it does conduct electricity.so keep away from bare or open power wires...AND it can make some amps and pre-amps DRIER sounding.BUT not the IRD stuff.
Once complete hold on and enjoy..all that extra noise in between the 0's and 1's on the CD seem to disappear....
Try Norah Jones..you will hear her sexy breathing and voice so realistic that you will be holding hands with her while she sings .
I also use the cloth inside my CDP glued to the top cover,on my transformer in my line conditioner.The Stealth Cloth is unreal...
As a matter of fact if I'm not mistaken there is one company called BPT(balanced power technology) that uses it in their line conditioners.

I also use upgraded power cords on my IRD equiptment....Harmonic Tech Pro AC11...
