There is a speaker that sounds BEST when seated on a ton of bricks...

Rey (Kinoshita) Monitor speakers...

I just say... Is your wife blind? No? Well she is going to whoop your ass homeboy when
she comes home and see's this... Then you are gonna wish she was blind, and not able to see
where to throw all the stuff she's got in her kitchen at ya...
It's gonna be Wodger Wabbit scene no.1 ! "Look no pain, look no pain... "

On dedicated support, but still buck ugly!!!!
Now, okay it's one of the best sounding speakers on the planet, but try telling your beloved that...
It goes down to 9hz this ugly duckling... (the sub also looks like this one, and is just as big, no actually a bit bigger.) Imagine 4 big coffins up against the wall, 25 feet wide installation!!!

I don't think you can call it Zero WAF...
I think it's FAW! (Fucking Angry Wife...)   :cuss:
When she tells you to get rid of them today, you remember that it's 2500lbs to drag out the door.
 :weights:

My girlfriend prefers the slimline look of open baffles and panel type speakers. She's also one that dislikes the coffin look of the HT3s. Of course, the HT3s can't compare to these

This site is filled with some of the ugliest (and prettiest) speakers around. The above is from page 39.

Jeff, its easiest to open up a web account at a site like www.photobucket.com      after that's done, upload the pics to that site and then simply copy & paste the IMG address here.

Damn, Imperial, I can fantasize about the reactions that my wife would show when and if I had some crazy speakers that could not fit, straight up in the livingroom when she got home from work.  Some of those coffin looking cabs are dangerous for your wife can use them to conceal the evidence of what "happened" to you when she finished you off.  Hehehehe.

Jeff,
I finally successfully uploaded my first picture. Somewhere here TheChairGuy had a link last week. Put the pictures in your gallery here on the circle. Then right click on the picture you want to post and a window opens. Left click on properties, then highlight the string of info that has http.............and JPG or Tiff by holding down the left button on your mouse and then right click and then click on copy. Then in your post, click the insert image icon, the second from the left, put the curser in the middle of the brackets and right click and then click on paste. It really is easy once you do it.( i guess like many things :))

Many OB's have very low WAF. They can dominate a small room. Generally the smaller the speaker, the higher the WAF! (sigh!)

Those Azzolina's at the RMAF last year were pretty unattractive (depending on your tastes):

Kind of like the offspring of the Avant Garde horns and some pro-audio horns (or plain black LaScala's).

I think NO SPEAKER has the highest approval factor.   :icon_twisted:

I think I will take out a life insurance when I get my latest addiction set up....a Basszilla like speaker or Oris with Onkens.  I wonder what my wife will say about those.  Especially in a small room.  At least she does not get to see it too often, as the room is not really for her use.

I think Bemopti123 has it nailed. No speaker has a WAF factor. At least visually.

I always like to compare her bottles of 'stuff' in the bathroom to my speakers. When I can get her to agree that bottles of 'stuff' aren't too cool to look at either...she leaves me alone.

Now I think those are beautious. A little fresh paint, some damping on the metal horns and a little grille cloth on the bass bins and these beaut's will disappear in almost any room.

Hey Jeff,
Heres a couple of threads on how to create a Gallery here at AC and how to post your pics.

Bemopti123 has it right! Oh, for a dedicated room!
