I'm from Italy and I received these wonderful pieces from Nick about 4 months ago and fully enjoyed since then, now I received a modded SB3 from Wayne and - this is my opinion, with my gear - I decided to run my SB3 directly to my amp without any preamp. I like the sound much more this way, but I guess it's only a matter of synergies in my setup. When I have to deal with CD players, I liked the warmth and body of the tubes and the transparency of the TVC, but now I like the SB3 to my amp more..
This is the only reason why I will let the TVC and the active tubed buffer go away from me, to anyone interested in both, or only one of the two.
The tubed buffer is about 2 months old (I purchased it afterwards) and it is like new as it was delivered to me from Nick. It has one gold plated RCA in, double gold plated RCA out and one additional XLR out. The tubes only have about 250 hours on them and they are two 6N1P military tubes and a 5Y3 rectifier tube.
Please consider that this is a handcrafted unit and I would rate it 8/10, anyway is in perfect working condition and sounds beautifully.
The passive TVC is a ref. 3 version transformers, with ebony knobs, dual mono configuration (2 volume knobs), one in / one out, solid silver RCA. On the rear side you might notice two small holes in the wood, this is because I asked Nick to build a customized unit (with only one in / one out) but from an adapted case, thus the extra holes which do not affect the beautiful sound at all. I would rate it 8/10 as well.
The price is $200.00 for the TVC and $200 for the active buffer. Paypal preferred, I will absorb paypal, buyer will pay for the shipping.

I need to clarify that since I live in Europe, the power supply of the active buffer is rated 220VAC. Some adjustments are required for the active buffer to properly work in the US. WARNING: standard air shipping costs from Italy are about $300 (I checked with all of the major express couriers). Any different proposal to cut shipping costs will be more than welcome. Thank you.
