I purchased this used a couple months ago to try out (in fact, here's the ad). The dac does have the most recent upgrades offered by CI Audio.

I built the power supply as a substitute/cheaper alternative for the VAC-1 using a Hammond transformer (266J14) rated at 14VAC, 2A. The umbilical is a ~2.5ft long and terminated with a Neutrik XLR on the PS end and a Switchcraft DC plug on the DAC end. The cable is 18 awg stranded copper in a shielded star quad configuration (it's pretty easy to DIY your own cable, also). The wall wart supply is also included. The case is finished in flat black and damped with mortite. In all, it's about $45 in parts.

Asking $500 + shipping for the DAC and PS or $475 + shipping for just the DAC.

As stated above, it is the most recent version.

I bought the dac to try out (see my posted comments in page two of this thread). I kept it for a few months because i think its a very good dac; however, i've found a dac i prefer in my system largely because i wanted more warmth.

I have no idea if the warranty is transferable, but the dac is well under a year old.

No visible damage or abuse. The condition is 9/10.

I can include the spdif cable nickspicks sent with the dac, if interested. I'd need to repair it first, however --small gauge cable with little to no strain relief.
