Klipsch Original Heresy 2 loudspeakers

Any recommendations? I can get a set for $80...

Will they work well with a 11 watt SE tube amplifier?

TIA

Depending on your music preference, listening level, and size of room, I would think that 11 watts would be fine.
I drive my vintage Cornwalls with 3.5 watts of 2A3 power and never run out of steam, however my room is fairly small
and I don't listen at very loud levels.
$80 is a steal for these speakers, with the going price usually around $400, I know, I've been looking for a pair to give
to my son. Plan on upgrading the caps in the crossover for a nice increase in sound quality.

Lots of info on these speakers on the Klipsch forum.

Thank you.

They come on my way at the most difficult time of the month when funds are at the lowest lol!!

I would love to grab them.

dewaldv,

As Thirsty says, $80 is a great deal for a pair of Heresies. I have a pair of LaScalas that I've used with everything from 2 watts to 18 watts/channel, all SET, and in all cases there was enough juice for major SPLs in my rather large listening room. I also tried a friend's pair of Heresies with a 2 watt amp I had at the time, and there was no problem...in fact, it sounded wonderful.
If you decide not to buy them, pm me and I'll take them  :D
