Hello,
I have read many threads on AC and other resources about dedicated lines and have gotten myself pretty confused.
I am having an electrician come by to take a look and let me know pricing for running dedicated lines and adding an outlet so I can ceiling mount my home theater projector.
My questions are for the people who have done this.
What would you do differently or what has worked out really well?
I do not know for sure which wire to use as I have read conflicting info on this.
I am considering having my panel replaced since mine is about 30 years old. I have read about Square D being the best for panels and breakers so that is what I will plan on unless I am convinced it won't make a difference or there is a better alternative.
I am also planning on using Porter ports unless there is something that will be an improvement over his outlets for a reasonable amount of money.
Last would be technique for running the dedicated lines since I do not know if my electrician has done this for any audiophile before me.
I have searched the threads and gotten some basics but I read too many differing opinions so I wanted to ask this here where I always seem to get pointed in the right direction.
Thanks for taking the time to help.
Sincerely,
Nick
