Thanks to Audio Circle Members
« on: 15 Jul 2007, 01:44 am »
I joined AudioCircle back in March due to a desire to improve the sound of my speakers when playing music.  I had no conception of the world of 2 channel audio and as I look back it is almost unbelievable how helpful members of this Circle have been in helping me complete my system.  It would be easy to take for granted the knowledge I have gained from the members but the information they have shared have both saved me money and rewarded me with a superior system.  I will probably miss some but I would like to especially thank the following members:  Lonewolfny, Double Ugly, Tom S, Bunky, Nick B, Christof, Zybar, Wayne1 and Richidoo.

Thank you,

Ken

I totally agree with you that the AC community is filled with knowledgable and friendly people.

Glad you are enjoying good sound that will only get better. I appreciate the kind words. I have also been fortunate enough to get similar help and great advice via public posts and private messages from many members on this forum including those you mentioned and especially Double Ugly.

Took the weekend off to recharge (and spend some time with my good friend WEEZ and his lovely wife "B"), and felt my ears burning when I pulled into the driveway tonight.  Sure 'nuff, I check in and find this.  Sweet!  :D

Thank you very much, Ken, and you, too, Nick.  It's been my pleasure getting to know you fellas, and I'm pleased to know I've in some way helped.

If you (as in the collective "you") make it out to Denver in October, be sure to look me up!  :thumb:

Take care,

Thanks Ken! It very nice of you to mention me in company of these giants whom I also admire very much, they have helped me immeasurably too.. Giving freely and sharing the secrets is what AC is all about. It is the most important ingredient in building a great audio system! Looking fwd to seeing you in person sometime soon. (We only live 1/2 hour apart!)

Jim:

I take it you have decided to go to RMAF.  I want to go but have yet to make firm plans.  My thoughts are this would be a very worth while trip especially at this newbie stage in this hobby.  I must work on the wife this weekend!

Hi Rich:

I was extremely optimistic about how quickly the system would come together!  Speakers are completed and will hopefully ship this week.  Gregg is completing burn-in of the Reality SCs and they are expected to ship this week.  Once everything is together I will have to have you over for a listen and advice for futher enhancements.

One thing I have come to realize this journey into 2 channel sound is a marathon not a sprint!  I certainly sprinted out of the gate but I really had to because I had nothing useful for a decent 2 channel system.  Finally, I believe I am nearing the stage of enhancing, not building!  The reason I initiated this thread was to recognize you guys that have been so willing to help this newbie avoid the mistakes I would have certainly made.  Maybe it is a curse but I certainly hooked (hook, line and sinker) into this hobby.

Thanks Again,

Ken

Back in March my system was a Denon 3806 AVR, Denon CD player, Monitor Audio 9is (L&R) connected by Monster Speaker Cable.  Today it is Odyssey Mono SEs, Candela, Bolder Modified S3 and Bolder Modded Linear Elpac, Bolder ICs between S3 and Candela, Groneburg ICs between Candela and amps and Groneburg SCs.  Greg Straley SCs due this week, Grover ICs on order and SP Tech Timepiece 2.1s shipping this week.
