Oh no...not another discussion of the tubedac!

At the risk of being accused of beating a dead horse, has anyone had the opportunity to compare the S/N Tubedac+ to the the regular Tubedac?
I understand the + version was "voiced" to sound more like an oversampled DAC... but was this done at the expense of losing the magic musicality of the regular Tubedac? I'm planning to purchase a Tubedac and am curious if the + version improves at all on it's predecessor. Thanks! BTW, this is my first post, but I've been an avid AC reader for some time.

Horse ain't dead yet  :)    The differences between the two are subtle.  The 'plus' has a tiny lift at ~20k to makeup for the 3db down point at 20k that a non-oversampled dac will have.  It's a small passive filter that gets the level back up at 20k and in turn puts a one cycle leading edge only ring onto a ik square wave.   It's not voiced to sound like and oversampled system,  but to be a bit more familiar.   It's still the glare-free digital experience,  just with a tiny sparkle.  It's like cooking, people prefer different seasonings.  I make dacs with choices, to fit different people.

Aha, the sinc(f/fs) rolloff... I was wondering whether that was going to turn up sometime, or whether I just had the theory wrong... :)
