This is a great DAC.  It easily beat all of the DACs I'd heard before this (including some modded units).  Crystal clear and great black background.  It doesn't get much cleaner.

I'd still be using it, but I decided to go the DIY kit route for a new preamp and phono pre I needed.  I was going to experiment with an all in one box so I bought a HagTech Chime too.  If it hadn't been for that I'd still be running the DAC1.  I do like the Chime better, but new its twice as much and even DIY adds up to pretty much what I'm asking for this one.

Forgot to mention that I use the same userid everywhere so samplesj has my ebay and audiogon feedback.  They are not all just purchases either.  I don't flip gear as fast as some people, but I've still sold a bit.

I've got to dig in the storage closet under the basement stairs, but I'm pretty sure I have the original boxes.  I'll post a picture to confirm it later.  I do have the original manual.

Packed in original packing material and then an outer box with a bit more padding.  There is a random power cord from my stock cord box.  I can't ensure its the original, but you'll want to replace it anyway.  I usually ship same day as payment.

I just bought a JVC RS1 for the HT room so I've got to sell some stuff.
