A sad day...
« on: 7 Jul 2007, 04:16 pm »
Today I sold my HT3's (to a fellow AC member) and they just left the house.

While I had switched speakers last fall, I still found it very difficult to sell the HT3's.  They offer great performance and stunning looks at a very reasonable price.   :thumb:  I still haven't heard a speaker at their price point that offers everything that the HT3's do.  I was only able to better them by going with a speaker that costs more than 3x a pair of fully loaded HT3's!

I want to thank Jim for a couple years of great music and exemplary customer service!!

It's only sad for you -- you've brightened someone else's system!  ;-)

George -

I can easily say it was an honor and privilege to have you own a pair of our speakers.  As I recall, you purchased a very early pair HT3's I built for myself.  And you have offered us your unqualified support ever since.  While I'm sorry to hear you no longer have them, who knows what the future will bring.  We have a few new designs on the drawing board (no immediate introduction plans) and perhaps one of them will be impressive enough to unseat your $20K speakers.

In the mean time, the new owner has already set us to work on a new center channel to match the HT3's..  So overall, we gained a new friend and I'm sure we will continue to enjoy a great relationship with you as well.

Thanks much for your past and continued support and encouragement.

Bob,

Knowing that the speakers went to a good home made it a little easier.

I am sure you will enjoy the speakers just like I did.

Thanks for the kind words Jim.

Absolutely keep me posted on any new models.

I have said numerous times that the HT3's get pretty close to the 5A's.

See you at RMAF in October.

It's always tough to sell a pair of speakers when you like them. But it's even tougher when you have a good connection with the person who actually made them...

And I'll also place an order (sometime next year, likely) for some surrounds.  Why not have it all?
