Are those 2.1s or 2.0s, top?

The silver drivers make me think they're 2.0s, though I believe Bob did use the 'regular' 7" drivers in a few pair of early 2.1s.

The seas excel drivers came standard in the 2.1?  I always thought they were an option.

Bob may have to provide the definitive answer, but I *think* the one-time upgrade is now standard.

So much has changed so quickly with regards to SP Tech's speakers.  It's all for the better, but I don't feel confident saying much about options any more.

You guys are right, they are 2.0's  sorry  I didn't know.
I spoke to Bob and he said many changes have occurred since then, can't imagine what the 3.0's sound like :thumb:

I may do another rave in the fall or winter and I may get the 3.0's to audition for the NY audio rave group.

Would these speakers happen to be part of somebody's very generous lend-lend program?   aa

Another tip off is that your boys look like they're practicing the lean already :thumb:

I don't know what the 3.0s sound like either, but I own a pair of 2.0s (relegated to my stepson's room) and a pair of 2.1s.  I was surprised by how much better the 2.1s are, and according to Bob, the 3.0s represent yet another significant leap in performance.  Since he told me the same thing before I made the switch to 2.1s (and I didn't believe him  ), I'm inclined to trust him this time 'round.

I know... it was hard for me to believe, too!

Looking good there Mike and son's......
They are the TP 2.0's.
Since Mike has never hear an SP Tech speaker (wasn't at my Rave in '05), I loaned him my pair to hear.
And yes....many upgrades have happened since I've owned them....so I will upgrade these in the future. But these still kick ass.......

Get as much power as you can....and they will really sing.

Pretty small for a monitor.....right ?

Have fun.......
