I'm selling this sub because in my small room and with the new speakers I have on order I am not going to need it after all. It has never been used, never even been plugged in, or had anything connected to it at all. It has the White Shadow Maple finish, and is extremely well built and finished. Very fast and musical sub, though I wouldn't use it for HT.
Since it is essentially new, I would like to get $375 plus shipping for it (I'll eat the paypal) -- price new is $499. I have all original box, packing materials, manuals, etc. Shipping weight is about 48 pounds. Greatly prefer to sell in conjunction with the Onix R-DES digital EQ -- which is a great companion to this sub and gives you really great flexibility in tailoring the sound to your room. Price for R-DES alone is $220, if purchased together, I'll sell the package for $550 plus shipping. That's a really nice sub setup that retails for $900 for $550.
PM with any questions.
Here's the description from the AV123 web site:
The ULW-10 is perfect for small to moderately sized home theaters and nearly any
music system. It's compact, powerful and offers several adjustments that allow you
to blend it with your main speakers while removing a room-induced peak in the response.
The ULW-10 will not provide the highest SPL on the planet but that's not why it's
here. The ULW-10 provides tight, tuneful bass; no overhang, boominess or slop from
this sub! Use the provided microphone to measure the frequency response in your
room. The system will automatically remove the worst offending peak in the response!
What does this mean? Ever heard the phrase 'one-note sub'? That is partially due
to peaks in the in-room response. One (or several) frequencies are much louder than
the rest. This has the effect of drowning out the rest of the frequencies. Imagine
listening to your favorite recording and in comes the bass guitar and when he/she
plucks A, it's 10 or even 20dB louder than E or D or G! How annoying! The SOS system
takes care of that for you.
It's also got an infinitely variable phase control to ensure you can blend the sub
seamlessly with your main speakers. The built-in 350W amplifier ensures you have
the power you need...
If you are tired of that flabby 8" or 10" sub you have now, check out the ULW-10.
