Wayner

Every once in a while, there comes along a nifty product that is reasonably priced and does what the manufacturer says it does. This is a re-usable cable clamp that will gather and separate your line level cables and power cables, just to help keep them organized. They are great! I use them everywhere. I thought you guys might like them too. www.cableclamp.com

They sell these in Home Depot in orange.  I have about 20 of them in all sizes.

Other than painting a prettier picture behind one's gear, I see nothing positive to be gained from bundling cables together myself. The only product I've ever seen as being useful myself are sparkplug cable seperaters or any designed product that keeps the cables orderly seperated. JMHO,YMMV.

I've been able to bundle my cables so that signal cables run along one side and power cords on the other side.

I just use velcro tape though.

Ah, what I use them for mainly is storing all the extra cables I have, which are many.

I do group power wires together up the center trunk of my HT rack, for instance and run all signal cables right to left.  So I use these for groups like speaker wires (7 for the HT rack) and some signals to a multichannel amp.

For wire separation I use slices of pool noodles. Hot pink!

These look great! I will get them for an audio pal whose power cords over run his setup, very unsightly. :nono: Thanks Wayne :thumb:

Wayner,

Keep up the good work.  You sure have your finger on the pulse of the inexpensive tweaks :thumb:

For simple systems, yes. But YMMV indeed as seen below.

Norman... ¡Ay Mama Inez!

Well, at least you won't have any trouble making sure that all the cables cross perpendicular to each other.  :thumb:

Wish I had a camera Norm as I can easily top that with my  cable extravaganza generated from 24 components in my A/V system and all gathered in a 5' area between my loudspeakers. I'm waay past the point of even trying to organize anything myself as I'd personally rather have this type of mess than to bundle cable together. I can only attempt to keep signal cables away from power cables the best I can. It's no wonder with my mess that I'm so high on power conditioning and EMI/RF interference control. But thanks for reminding me that I'm not alone and seperating cables can get to be an impossible task as systems grow.  :thumb:
