I stumbled onto this site because I was looking into impressions of the Dack and Scott Nixon dac.
I have been reading through messages fro a while, started at my office earlier today.

I am impressed, not just by the quality and thoughtfulness of the posts, but by the fact that folks seem to be able to disagree without resorting to mockery or base insults, or to degradation of others' hearing, testicular endowment, or other (generally audio related) equipment. A very gentlemanly (and ladylike, for those of such chromosomal persuasion) ambiance.

Impressed enough that I had register so I could to say so.

   Does that look like a murderous porcine to you?  Maybe if you squint?    Or perhaps after a couple of mojitos?

Don't give us too much credit, for every so often things heat up, but I would say that we have the best board (in many if not most ways) on the internet, and it gets better everyday.

Well, it's good to see passion in posts.
I will still stand by my assesment, as even those never seemed to descend to the hairy nether regions and were done with at least some degree of humor and flair. Maybe I'm just saying that because I didn't have to wade through pages and pages about Stereophile, Musical Fidelity, Audio Note, and Bose.

Maybe Mrs. Piggy will join us?? I KNOW she already has an avatar yet?

Oh man, I was going to tell you.  I got my butt reamed for that hydroelectric generator idea!  Mrs. bwk threatened to leave -- well maybe she did, but I didn't notice in all of the excitement -- but I started to dig my trench anyway.  Getting through my yard and back fence was no biggie, but then I had to start tearing up asphalt on the street behind me.  All of the sudden these policemen arrive start asking what I am doing.  I carefully explained it all to them, and told them you were involved, and everything would be just fine if they'd just let me finish it.  They said they were going to find some way of getting in touch with you.  Anyway, I am here in the Los Angeles County Jail.  If you could please call Acme Bail Bonds and give them your credit card number, I can probably be back at work on this by 3:00 this afternoon.

As Sa-dano mentioned, off color is very accceptable here on audiocircle, we would rather have it confined to the Sports Bar section or The Fight Club and not in the Two Channel forum though.

Some people are easily offended and we want to make sure that they can keep abreast of the latest and greatest in a family friendly atmosphere.

We also don't want to be stick in the mud prudes so we have some forums where you can post pic's of your favorite playmate, or if really graphic, just post the links    please.

The two channel forum should be used for audio discusions.

And it makes perfect sense to do so.  All of us so-called newcomers are well equipped to offer information and tips on audio, as well as gather new information from those who are more experienced than we are.  Every so often, however, we might deviate for a moment just to entertain the troops.  I'll try to keep that in check.  I couldn't resist bringing Larry up to date on my progress since he recommended I install my own hydroelectric generator to get cleaner power.  I'm looking at windmills now.

Just engaging in the stardard greetings and overall espirit de corps a few of us have developed and grown used to over the years (it's not like we mentioned a third channel or anything).

As I'm into audio, not "sports", I'll look for another bar.
