Acoustic Research Cables

Hello all
Quick question are Acoustic Research cables any good ?
A coworker told me he saw a bunch of Acoustic Research cables at a local dollar store (he was looking at a set of 6Ft component cables $20 )
Any thoughts?

They work just about fine.
I use their component cables between the DVD player and my DLP TV.
Also RCA cables between the preamp and amp. I bought a 12 ft pair for $12 incld shipping from ebay.

For the price, i think you cannot go wrong. I think sometime back stereophile had a good review about an acoustic research RCA cable costing about $15 or so.

Equivalent quality to low-end Monster -- so, not bad at all.

For some component video cables, I'd say it's a safe bet at the least.

Another option is MCM Electronics.  They have some cheap-yet-nice audio and video cable if you can figure out how to navigate their website.  When in-stock, their 50-2155 "High Resolution Audio Cable" is unbelievably nice for the price ($12.37/3-foot pair).  This is presently my preferred audio cable (well, on the cheap side at least).

I used to use them...worked fine, seemed decently built.

I've gone to http://www.knukonceptz.com stuff now though.

Took a walk ova today at lunch and the oned they have are the Master Series The pacage alone is worth $10 LOL

Hey, Sam Tellig liked them, bought a pair  for home theater pretty good a good Mid Fi product IMO.

Went back today and they have 12 Ft componenet cables $20
Digital Coax 6Ft $7
Single Video interconect 3Ft $5
6Ft  Svideo cable also
I wanted to pick up a few Audio interconects butthey did not have stereo pairs Guess You could use the single Digital coax or the video interconects right ?

My understanding is that at least some of them are private-labeled Neotech cables.  I've used them with my mid-fi rigs and they are very good...
