I noticed that Zu sells some cables on ebay and I got a pair of 8' Wax speaker cables brand new for        ~35% of the cost on their website.  I am sure they are not losing money which shows that the mark up is super high even for direct to consumer marketing.  Regardless I am jazzed for such a good deal.  Free shipping to boot!

Wow free advertisement for ebay  most cable companies make "millions if not not more with their hyped up marketing products. Yes PC, IC's and speaker cables do make a difference but do we really need to spend 1k for cables another $500 or so on IC's and and an ungodly amount of PC's?    Little by little I am starting to learn that you dont need to overspend and have the greatest and latest gadgets to have a good quality sounding system.  Some of us pay too much attention to audiophile magazines and subjective reviews on every product, why does GOOD sounding music have to cost so much? I personally dont think so  however, I am no "audiophile" just a middle class worker

Be careful .... Discussions about cables are always controversial.
Like religion, faith plays a big big role in how people perceive cables. Go in with an open mind, who knows what you will find ... , but if you are skeptical to begin with, nothing will ever change your mind. 

That said ... Zu cables are built well. I had the julian way back ... but i sold it and now have blue jean cables. Doesn't look as pretty, but does the job pretty well

It must be a pretty good business model - my first product from them was an mp3 player cable bought on ebay.  Since then, I have acquired three sets of interconnects, a pair of speaker cables, Druids, Definitions, then upgraded to Pros.  Every audio company should do this!

Well I was perfectly happy with my Julians which I got for the same price as Bluejeans.  I now need banannas to fit the Trends amp so I was shopping.  i don't think what i payed is bad for a well made, good looking(matters to me) and generally high quality product.  Would I pay $540 for them?  NO
