Most here have already joyfully tossed their silver-disc sources in favor of networking's obvious incomparable convenience.
What is the best silver-disc-based Red Book source that was compared directly to a network-based system, for pure audio/music performance only? (The network convenience is legion, obvious, & not relevant to this queery.)
How would you characterize audible differences, if any?
Describe both sources & the rest of the system, general room descriptions.
