I bought the amp new and then had extensive Musical Concepts mods installed in the mid 90’s. Essentially, the case and output mosfets are original and everything else is Musical Concepts. I sent it in to be updated and checked out about 4 years ago. I had some Blackgates etc. installed at the time. It has M/C PA boards, dual mono torodial transformer option, 80K of capacitance and is rewired with Kimber cable. There are about $1000 worth of mods on the amp. It’s very close to the Musical Concepts Signature mod.

This is an excellent sounding amp that rivals the big dollar amps sound quality. I added a rack mount faceplate while the NOS faceplates were available. The face plate is pristine and the switch light works as new. The amp was a factory built unit and I do have the original manual along with the Musical Concepts assembly materials. The top does have some small stacking scratches that have been carefully touched up. They are not visible unless you are looking for them. I would consider it a very conservatively rated #6 based on Audiogon's rating system. It’s actually much better than that in my opinion but that eliminates differences of opinion.
