Asus is working on some mini laptops that have flash drives and 7" LCD screens.
The price range is between $200 and $550.
Normally I would balk at a 7" LCD screen, but id it is hi-res I think I could handle it. Currently I am refurbishing my Dell 8100 laptop, and before I applied the NVidia driver I had a 7" screen area and it was definitely usable.
Flash drives could be almost instant on/off, and faster than any mechanical hard drives out there.
