Sheet metal in Sydney?

Would anyone happen to know of a place where I can get sheet metal (Aluminium) cut to size in finish quality?

For building amp chassis

John can't give you an answer for your question.

But I can give you an LD player chassis if you're interested.

It's still got all of the guts in it. But I could gut it and send you the chassis if you're interested and would pay for shipping...

I figured you were building another AKSA. And the LDP chassis is more than large enough. Probably too large. It's not terribly attractive either...

I'll have to ask Al Garay if he'd care for it. He had a mild interest in a different LD chassis I've got.

No need to chuck it if someone's got a use for it.

hi john,

try a laser cutting service which is what i did building my chassis for my aksa.

they can cut very accurate holes in the aluminium, i then had it powder coated and it turned out pretty good.

I did try calling a laser place today but they didn't answer

I figured it was going to be too expensive but now you mention I remember you did get yours done for a reasonable price. Maybe I'll just get the front panels done that way

Hi John,

I had the front face plate and top, laser cut in aluminium. in total it cost $130au which included powder coating, it turned pretty reasonable.

There are a few laser cutting services in perth and i think sydney would have many more.
