That looks suspiciously like the copper wire the electrician recently used to run a 220V line for my new electric stove. And by "suspciously" I mean "exactly"... in fact I'd bet real money that that's all those cables are, which means a few hundred in bulk wire plus the generic shrink wrap and flexi housing. Not to mention, they don't even look as good as most of the semi-homemade budget cables on a'gon.

Here is a better deal yet. $30,000 6' bi-wire speaker cables for a Minimum Bid of $16,000. And you know what, if I could afford them, I'd buy them. After hearing what some of the lower priced Virtual Dynamics cables sounded like, I bet they're worth every penny.

Audio Pimp is a dealer that deals with buying and trading exotic high end components at rediculous prices. You will often see him selling an $80K pair of Wilsons for $20K. $100K Audio Note amps for $25K. I have no idea how he comes across his gear.
 He has been around a while and from what I "hear" about him, he is actually pretty reputable although I don't know a whole lot about him.

The ad says, "There are a few frey's in the shielding". Is this Glenn Frey? I mean, if the price includes Glenn Frey dropping by my place every night for a week or so to perform the Eagles Greatest Hits, then it might be worth it. Otherwise, I'll have to pass.

I have had really good luck with some modestly priced Zebra Cables as of late.  Really good for just a few $$$, can't touch my Discovery Essential but @ 1/10th the cost it bests cables @ 2 and 3 times the price! It absolutely crushes my other bargain favorite the DH labs Silver Sonic T-14.

Well...Its fun to laugh about some cable pricing....the skies the limit :lol:...but there are some cables that really do perform well. They really don't all sound alike.... :roll: ....let you ears and your system tell you which is right. 8)

30G's.....two cars....must be "Yugo's"......their just as good as a BMW....right.. :jester:

You guys aren't giving them a chance, it's definitely worth it!  There's a lot of labor involved here.  I mean, look at all that flex sleeving and shrink tubing, not to mention twisting the wires!  That probably took the guy a whole afternoon to finish.

Look at it this way, in a surround sound system you could sell off some of your extra speakers, cause the cables will provide the "3D" effect!  I dunno, it looks like a bargain to me.

If that guy really spent $17K on speaker cable, whats the rest of the system like??

Probably lives either with his parents or on a private island.   :)


BTW the Civic probably gets better mileage than the motorcycle, costs less to buy, certainly cheaper to insure, and keeps you dry & comfortable.  Besides how do you do drive-through or use your laptop on the motorcycle?
