Hi,

I must have missed a couple of links, how does the roadshow work?  I can borrow for a week and commit to a discussion of my personal experience of the TVC in my system?  That'd be fantastic.  I'm very interested.

Thanks.

Just to keep everyone posted-

The Roadshow TVC is still enroute to me. It was supposed to arrive on Saturday, then Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.

DHL is the most incompetent goup of idiots that I have seen in quite some time. In my line of work, I am no stranger to stupidity and incompetence, but this is amazing.

I've just gotten off the phone with them (again) and pretty much (politely but firmly) ripped them a new one. They say I will have it tomorrow before 10:30 AM.

Not that I believe them- they say the same thing every day, and keep bouncing it back and forth between Tennessee and Ohio.

I'll be shipping it USPS Priority to the next person when my time is up.

DHL-- "When it absolutely, positively doesn't have to be there at any particular time, if at all."   :banghead:

To All,

I have been away from my email . I will get back to all that have requested to be on tour. The response has been unbelieveable. This could go one for a very long time. Sometime tomorrow I will post pecking order.

sorry for the delay in responding.

Shipping status update--

Just as I predicted, 10:30 A.M. came and went, with no package.

I called DHL, and they said the package was shipped from Memphis to their sorting facility in Ohio. This would be the same sorting facility where it was 2 days ago, before being shipped back to Memphis.

They said the package would be shipped from Ohio to Orlando, but there are no more flights to Orlando today. They said they should be able to get it on a flight tomorrow.

Supposedly, when and if the package ever arrives in Orlando, the first available courier will deliver it.

I feel bad for Rollo, because his TVC seems to be stuck in some kind of DHL black hole. As for me, I'm not even irritated anymore. It's actually becoming rather amusing to see DHL soar to new heights of ineptitude.

Well Guys,
The response has been overwhelming to say the least. there are over 20 responses so far. Who knew.
This could run longer than Beauty and The Beast on Broadway.
Well in time It will get to everyone . I am trying to set up most efficient route for all, so pecking order may change.
I will post when complete. To date the TVC is en route via the Easter Bunny so it seems with DHL. A two day delivery is now 6.
      Be patient its a commin.

To Bring Everyone up to speed---

The TVC finally arrived today....damaged.

With Rollo's permission, I opened it up. The wire that runs from the left attenuator to the output jacks is broken off at the attenuator side.  No biggie, I'll solder it tonight when I get back home from work.

More disturbing is that something seemed "loose" inside the case. Upon further inspection, I found that the frame around the left transformer is bent. Electrically, it should be fine.  The outside of the unit is undamaged.

This was very well packed, so I think the box took one hell of a fall in the 8 days since Rollo shipped it to me.  There was no sign of distress on the outside of the box. Someone did write the following message on the box in ball point pen: "Theresa, pay attention, this goes to Florida." Nice.

It took DHL 8 days for a two day delivery, then it arrives damaged. Nice job, DHL.  :guns:

DHL---Guaranteed to arrive damaged on a day ending in "Y".

Sorry to hear that, Mr. R.  All these companies suck.  They don't handle the packages with care, that's the least to say.  They think it's fun tossing our packages around in the truck.  FedEx destroyed my turntable couple years ago.  Make sure you submit a receipt big enough to support your claim of cost so you don't at least lose financially.  They know they're in the wrong, so they usually pay whatever you submit without further complication.  The customers pay for their torts anyway.  Next time, you'd have to pay a few pennies more shipping a package.  How do you think Steinbrenner can afford to pay the mediocre A-Rod (one person's opinion!)?  Raise the price.

Fed Ex still hasn't found one of my Ronin Speakers, 80lbs, in a 60 lb shipping case!!!!!

At this point, I just laugh at the stupidity of the whole thing.
