I'm selling a great pair of custom made monitors which use Morel drivers.  They are about a year old & were the designers own pair.  He intended to release a line mimicking Merlin's offerings for sane $ & had only this sealed monitor and also the floorstanding model using the same drivers, but the plan never came to fruition.

Silk dome tweeters are Morel DMS 30S and 6" woofers are MW 166.  At purchase time I was told the drivers and x-overs together cost $600.    They are 8" wide, 16" tall and 14" deep.  A custom made shipping box is icluded, these guys could be shipped anywhere without worry.

$400 includes shipping to CONUS.  S/H will be over $50, the box weighs 65 lbs or more.

I listenend to these only a few weeks & went back to my florstanders - just couldn't move to monitors @ this point.   My loss is your gain, these have an incredible tone and imaging.  The maker has 15 years of speaker building experience.

The finish is flat painted black, no marks whatsoever.  There are no grilles for these.  A terrific bargain if interested in a sealed monitor.

Local pick-up/Demo in chicago is welcome.

They are pretty cool.   If i had the ability to do a 2nd system these would stay.  Time to clean house though.

The maker wanted them to retail for $650-$750, about 50% less than the pair he modeled them after.  He'd been in the business a while & wanted to give something back so to speak, or so he said.  Sucks his line didn't pan out, the floorstanders looked great too.

Those speakers look interesting...when were they made?  Were they made by Mr. Shabani?

They are 1 yr old, or about 16 months i believe.  the maker had them a year, i've had them since january.

They weren't made by Mr. Shibani.      i can't say who made them publicly, but i will tell the buyer.  don't want the builder to get in any legal hassles due to the Merlin reference...
