I had a heck of a time trying to take a decent picture. The plates are more shiney than the picture indicates. I had to angle the shot to avoid a glare. But this pic was the best I had at capturing the color.
Yes, the purple wasn't for me either. But I did like the blue. I imagine it would compliment the LED nicely. Copper may be cool too....don't see it too often. Silver is always a safe bet...expecially if you have a metal rack and other silver components.
We'll be moving in the coming months and I'll reevaluate the options when my new decor is known. Flat black works for now. Also the flat black is great in the HT, i.e. no glare from my front projector or other lights.
