Beatles fans - A trivia question re: Abbey Road
« on: 16 Feb 2007, 03:26 pm »
The last few nights i've been going through my Beatles collection and have run across an anomoly.

About 1 minute into 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer' paul cracks up, he laughs just for a second, then regains
his composure.

when he sings 'writing 50 times i must not be so, oh-oh-oh'...listen when he sais 'writing'... its like someone gooses him from behind or something.

Does anyone know what caused this?  i figure its a known snafu that the true fans are aware of.    hilarious that this take made it as the final cut.

Maybe George Martin mooned him or somthing???

This is audible on an Apple LP, SO 383 i believe.  the record jacket sais EMI.

McCartney can be heard sniggering as he sings the line "... writing fifty times I must not be so ..." on the studio recording. This is rumored to be because after the line "so he waits behind," Lennon mooned McCartney on the word "behind."

Thats from.....here...

thanks Wolfy!

I took a shot at the dark by saying he was staring at a guy's ass...too funny that he really was.
