Its cool to get to play with components in this price range but stratospheric is an understatement. My car is a small fraction of the price tag.

Me too! I drive an 87 BMW 325i that I paid 4000 bucks for about five years ago!!
The only reason I really enjoy listening to the crazily expensive stuff is to see where it stacks
up to the real world stuff. And with most mfrs, they keep taking what they have learned with
their flagship gear and moving that technology down the ladder.
I got a chance to drive a freinds new 645 Ci the other day and it was great!
I can't afford one, but it was a blast to have the experience...
We aren't even doing a formal review of the ART, we are just including it in an article
about Lew Johnson and Bill Conrad. They had originally meant to build 250 of them way
back when, but ended up only producing 225, so they had 25 chassis left.
Pretty much the 25 that they built to finish the series are all gone now. But it is an
interesting story..
