M-audio works fine just not with my laptop at all... I only recommend buying this if you know your USB is on another IRQ than other things (the controller). If you have a desktop you can actually choose your IRQs.

$80 Shipped.

The Sapphire is a PCI card, http://www.sapphiretech.com/us/products/products_overview.php?gpid=114&grp=9 , it works great I just have no desktop PC or video camera so no cable/satelite and no video capturing = I am selling.

$35 shipped with a three and six foot cable I believe with a splitter.

Paypal prefered with 3% charge, or cashiers check.

I might just throw two capacitors or a CD or something too with one of them

$100 for both, shipped.

do you think this would work fine with a Mac ?  I am not sure at all what IRQ is or how to check on that.
However I did experiment with a USB dac before and that was ok when plugged into the back of the tower (as opposed to the USB port on the Apple flat panel --> disaster for sound).

thx,

Well according to M-Audio it does with with Apples. I have no idea about the configeration though on an Apple. I guess if I sat down at one for a few minutes I would but I only own a PC.

I would like to mention I did use this on a desktop and it worked fine. That desktop also did not have the IRQ issue though.

Bump...

That is a nice price on the M-audio unit. They are hard to find in stock a lot of the time too.

  • ...on being an audiophile...no.
I would consider buying the M-Audio unit but I think it's not compatable with Microsoft's Windows Media Center Edition OS, correct me if I'm wrong.

You are correct.

I'm using an Audiophile with my Mac(s) via Firewire and it works very well with both iMac and iBook

I'm running my M-Audio Audiophile USB on Win XP Media Edition and it works fine.  I used the latest driver from M's web site.
