Loved his style! We used to do his big hit-"Ifeel Good", yeah! Uptill a couple of years ago and it was always a crowd pleaser.

Hey!

Sad news indeed. He was just on the news on Thanksgiving this year giving out Turkey :(

Well, his musics will live on. :D

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

Rob....Last report stated... "Brown died early Monday at Atlanta's Emory Crawford Long Hospital of congestive heart failure, his agent said. He was 73."

New Years Eve at B.B.Kings (NYC) was to be his next gig......

R.I.P.

My wife and I made a New Years Resolution of a few people to see perform if they came anywhere near us and James was high on the list.

My wife and I saw Dreamgirls today and Eddie Murphy was doing James proud and it gave me a small moment to reflect.

Today I heard reference to this downloadable concert from NPR and the 930 Club in DC... http://xponentialmusic.org/interviews_performances/curated_content.php

Wow...wouldn't his body start decomposing or something? Its not like he is on ice.
That article also mentions a 106Mil$$$!!! (20-year ago) rape lawsuit...man, that's an expensive meow.
But I can relate to the legal action to lock up his home...when I was in retail, I had this customer who died suddenly while frolicking  in the bedsheets, and his then girlfriend ( the one that screwed him to death) cleaned out his apartment, I only found out about it a few weeks after when his kids came into the store to see if they could collect a refund on a downpayment he had made on a special order item...death brings out the vultures in some people.

From another site.....

"His body lies in a sealed coffin in a chilled room of his locked South Carolina mansion while family members tussle over a burial site and his grieving fourth wife prepares a legal challenge for access to the couple's possessions."

A chilled room.....
