Hiya Guys,

Thought I'd let you guys know that Bill at Response is looking to sell the speakers you heard over here at the Christmas Bash. Heres a link to his post in the Industry Ads circle. Bill is looking to get $999 for them if you are interested.
http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=34448.0

...and heres the link to Bills Bella Speaker page.
http://www.responseaudio.com/bellaSPAV1main.htm

I'll be pulling the speakers out of the Redrum and into the Blue Room sometime over the Christmas break. I'll also bring the Radii's out there to drive them. If you are interested in giving them a listen, give me a buzz.

I'm definitely up for hearing them in the big room.  Let me know when they're coming out and maybe we can get together for a short listen.

By the way, it's Musica Bella. Meaning Beautiful Music in Italian. Being of Italian heritage, I wanted to keep things going in that direction.

I will be eager to hear you impressions with the Bellas in the larger room. While they work nicely even in smaller rooms, when you give them some room to breath, they will really open up. Especially with some power behind them.

I imagine they may still work if you try a solid state amp  :dunno: but the closest I have come is a 200 watt hybrid (tube input/solid state power). Then again I do have a few customers running HT receivers into these speakers.

Oooops, sorry

Tell you what, I'll try them with Hugh's 55 watt AKSA amp and a big Rotel 981 that I use in my shop system. Should be fun!

If you really want to have some fun, I can bring my Crown K2 amp.       I'm laughing because that amp in not at all designed for the beauty and sonic refinement of Bill's Musica Bellas.  They are marketed as subwoofer amps for insane wattage use only.  At 4 ohms they do 800 watts per side.  I think its 1200 watts per side at 2 ohms. :icon_surprised:

I'd bring my Rogue M-150s, if were not for the fact that I choose not to do so.   :icon_lol:

Sorry for making us all a bit dumber with this post... I'm a little bored, I recon.

That's okay Scott. I'll let it go this time but don't let it happen again. :nono:

Should be interesting. Do keep me posted on how they sound with various amplification.

Not so insane, I have a customer that is using a pair of ASL 200 watt Hurricane tube mono bloc amps with his Bella 1's and I use Hurricanes on the Bella 2's all the time. They love it! (and so do I)

These are the amps I have tried with my Musica Bella SP/AV1s:

Extreme Hurricane (200 Watt pentode, 120 Watt triode)
Sophia SET EL34 (28 Watts)
eAR 1001 (1000 Watt)
ARC VT100 (100 Watt)
CJ MFC200 (200 Watt)
Wavelength Duetto (8 Watt)
Von Gaylord Starlet MK2 (48 Watt)

They sounded the best in my main room with the Hurricanes in triode driving them but I had to settle with the the speakers in my bedroom with the Starlet integrated amp.  Sophia and Duetto did not have enough juice in the bigger room but OK in bedroom with the speakers closer to the wall.  These speakers are very clean and fast.  Woodwinds, acoustic guitar and vocals come alive with good amp driving them.  Have fun trying different amps with them and BTW the price is way below what I paid (I though you were giving me a deal, Bill) even if mine looks better.

They will work with many different power levels but I would recommend a minimum of 50 to really bring them alive.

Not fair, you had a lot of options with your pair :nono: :green: I didn't make any money on the first 5 pair that were sold but the feedback was great and I truly appreciate it.

Hey Scott, forgive me for being major forgetful, but what are the watts on that Odyssey amp that played in the small bedroom?
Might be a thought!
I too would like to hear them in the bigger room with a little more 'harrumph' behind them.  aa

Afraid all I have around here with any ass is the Bryston B60.  (still, might be fun!)

...well duh! :duh:

Tell you what, I'm going to play with the open baffles for a week or two and then I'll get the Musica Bellas moved into the system. I'll be sure to post and let everybody know. Guessing, we could get together the first or second weekend in January if you wanted.

The Odyssey amp in the bedroom was 100 watt stereo.
