FET3 for sale $125 + shipping

I believe this to be a FET3. I'd like to know more about when it was made and what the enhancements are, besides the obvious big volume and balance pots and the big caps. And I'd like to sell it, once I confirm its identity.

This certainly is an older AVA circut set in a Dynaco Pat-5 chassis.  All of the original Dyna circuit boards have been replaced with AVA boards and circuit designs.  It also appears to have a custom AVA faceplate, although the photo does not show all of it.

This series was very nice sounding for its time and was very durable.

We would sell one of this vintage for $250 more or less with a one year factory warranty.

Thanks, Frank.

Unfortunately, the face plate is missing. The unit sounds great, though.

Whoops, no faceplate?  And me without any remaining Pat-5 faceplates, new, used, or custom.  How about knobs?

I suggest you find a faceplate and knob set for it.  It take two big Dyna knobs, two small Dyna knobs, and four sets of special split knob sets (inner and outer) for the tone control shafts.

Knobs are there, but not all of the plastic portions of the pushbuttons.

Actually a very good buy for someone that already has an old original Dyna Pat-5 laying away somewhere gathering dust.

Simply steal its buttons, knobs, and faceplate, and have an instant major upgrade for $125.00.

Oh man.  I'm getting old.  I have a FET-5 Mark II that I think you upgraded to a Superfet or a FET-3.  My equipment has held up a lot better than my memory - it still works great driving a MOSFET 260 and a pair of lovingly restored magnepan trympani 1(U)s. (In the HT, not the main system.)
