Lost?

I've been thinking of picking up a good ol' time waster series, and Lost is looking good.  I've never seen the show but always thought it looked interesting.  Great cast, very favorable reviews.  And the DVD set is 16:9, DolbyDigital- very PJ friendly.  Can anyone give me an opinion as to whether the show is worth watching?

Absolutely worth watching. The first season was the best. After that, things started to get a little ridiculous but still very enjoyable.

Worth watching. very addictive. But not worth buying on DVD-you'll watch it once only..... I've been told you can download it.  aa aa

My brother in law also hated the show and joked about it being like www.thebigredbutton.com

Well, we got him the 1st series for Christmas 2004 and he got sucked in. His request for last Christmas? "Please get me the second year"

Start at the beginning or you'll get lost fast, but be wary on how it will grab you.

I only started watching it last year and I look foward to its return, its filmed pretty well, saturated colors and great scenery.
I never paid much attention to this show when it first aired, found the presentation way too clean and soap opera like...still is in many cases... too many model-like people on one island.
Maybe if I didn't get a HDTV last year I would not be watching, seeing that there is so little HD material on worth watching.
Still not too sure what the plot is, since I never saw the previous seasons, but hell, its good eye candy.

I waited until Season 2 had been out then picked up Season 1 & 2. Went through Season 1 after I got home from work that week, then watched all of Season 2 during the weekend. I think that was well over 2,000 minutes worth of entertainment in one week. :o

Guess I kinda liked it. :lol:

And yeah, the PQ is great, the audio is good, and Evangeline is insanely hot... :drool:

Looks like I'll probably have to check it out.  I don't mind buying TV series on DVD because I generally will re-watch them again at some point.  Plus, you can always resell 'em.

Well, I've spent many a sleepless night devouring Season 1 and am nearly 1/2 way thru Season 2! :o  I can say unequivocally that Lost is in my Top 10 TV Series Of All Time.  On a technical level the picture and sound are wonderful, and it's very absorbing in 16:9 with DD on my PJ.

And yes, Evangaline Lily is smokin' hot! aa
