Hey!

Man! That's was fun! At first I though... wait Ken Burn?

I like the part when they say how much the system cost... the face expression of their wifes and daughter are priceless  But those stuffs are very impressive and of cause pricey.

It is passion or obsession? Well, I have to say that I think they have passion for music part and sound part for sure but have obsession with the audio part. Well aren't we all?

Thanks man! This is a definitely a great find :D

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

PS

Hey! NY Rave I think we should do a film like this

Wonderful video with great music and perspective.  Yes, we are all a strange breed.  But in the end, all we got is each other!

Thanks for letting everyone know about this.

Love the expressions on the wife and daughters face when one of the guys mention how much money he has spent on his system. (high light of this doco..... As we can all relate to it)

I couldn't agree more with A6M's comments.. very well done, a real peek into our world.  I'm glad I'm not into vinyl, though... seems that was the big part of most of those systems.  One thing I saw missing from most of their rooms was room treatments... which is sad, really.

It was interesting seeing 2 sides, the passionate and the obsessive... I saw the one really obsessed guy trying to quantify his findings and others saying it was purely emotion and a hobby worth making other sacrifices to enjoy.  It was a good balance and left you to make up your own mind.

However... this could be about any hobby.  If you focus on the extremes of any hobby, you'll find the line of obsessive vs. passionate.  Anyone ever thrown away money on a boat? ;)

Do you mean those "holes in the water that you shovel money into"?

It is a QuickTime video, using a QT Plug-in.

If you have a PC, right click on the screen area and choose 'About QuickTime Plug-in...'  My version is 7.1.3.  You may need an update, or the plug-in to your browser may not be working properly.

To update, Right-click again and choose 'Plug-in Settings'.  There is an update tab in the Preferences dialog box.

If you have a Mac, well someone else will have to chime in!
