Visitor from a parallel universe
« on: 23 Nov 2006, 12:15 pm »
Hi Everyone

Believe it or not, I only arrived in this universe about 5 hours ago.  My old universe was almost identical but the one big difference is the way music sounds here - its so much better!  Let me give you an example; Led Zep have been my favourite band for the last 36 years and I've listened to every track of theirs countless times.  I thought I knew every note, every nuance, every cough.  But in this universe it seems that the recordings were so much better because I'm hearing everything now and it sounds just so damn dynamic. (Have you tried playing air guitar and air drums at the same time? Its really difficult.)  In my universe Bonham died way back but I can tell you he's alive and kicking in my listening room.  I can't stop grinning as I listen.  Its like discovering their music all over again.

Well I expect you are wondering how I got to this universe?  Well some guy called Vinnie sold me a key, well 2 keys actually.  (He didn't say so but I reckon he is some kind of wizard.)   They're graphite and silver and have a Signature - I figure its a rune but it looks just like 70.  Don't ask me what it means but they sure as hell transported me somewhere else.

When I've been here a bit longer I'll tell you some more about how things are different in this universe.  I should warn you though, according to the mysterious Vinnie I only get 100 hours here and then I automatically get shifted to another universe that apparently is even better!  But that's not the end.  I get another 100 hours there before finally transcending to Nirvana.  That'll be Manic Nirvana I expect.

Ian

I'll be joining you shortly...  I have the keys but am still looking for the door to put them into.  Another wizard that wanders the eastern woods of Norwalk is busy making these for me as we speak, an soon they will arrive in the western wood here and the journey will begin...

Draw me a pint of the 90 shilling brew and I'll be along presently.

Studley,

Very clever and funny, yet to the point. Very well done. You should be writing formal reviews in this vein.  On second thought, nah, it ruins the fun for a lot of writers, I'm convinced.

Wolf - Is that first piece of art yours? It's very cool!

Hi Ian,

I agree.... a very clever post and I am definitely teased by it and want to read more

Most importantly, I'm glad to read that that right out of the box, you are really enjoying the Sig 70s!  :)

Oh yeah... they'll be another shift or two with burn-in.  Things get really sweet!  aa

Thanks for your post!

Vinnie
