Paradigm Monitor 11's and JVC RX-ES1SL

I'm more than pleased with my ES1. It's the best sounding amp i've ever heard for under $1000. I have a question about it though. My paradigm monitor 11's have two sets of binding posts in the back. I'm wondering if it would be safe to wire both the front and rear speaker outputs on the ES1 into my monitor 11's to get more wattage. Additionally, is there any way to activate the rear channel amps on the ES1 when using the analog audio in's with just a two channel signal coming into the ES1?

I love my 'ES1SL, too.  The only issue I have is fan noise- is yours very loud?

BTW, I only ever used it in stereo. I found it very counterintuitive to do anything with it, and the manual is not much help.

Rob,

I thought that at first about the manual, too...but it turns out all the needed info is in there....it's just so poorly laid out. Just keep looking and all the info is there.....but it is written 'strangely'.

Fan noise is problematic, too.  Always sounded like a good tube amp, tho, to me when I owned it.

My brother has mine at the moment, although I've served notice that I will be "repo'ing it" before long.  I'll lend him something else, so he doesn't care; to the contrary, he sits a few feet from it and the noise drives him nuts, even over his Xbox 360! :o  When I get it back maybe I'll crack the case and look into replacing the fan with something quieter.  The actual sound of the unit is wonderful.
