Eastern Electric Minmax owner here. I saw in Audiogon a modded EE Minimax Pre.
I talked to the guy( nice person) maybe he will chime in here about?
He has a factory modded Minimax but also upgrade the Alps potentiometer to a
TKD Conductive Plastic Volume Control.
I did some homework and this seems to be a very plausible way to gain more performance out of this PreAmp. Anyone help to chime in with there thoughts? Bill are you out there..
Anyother Mod's to this unit appreciated. I really enjoy my factory modded but really struggle chasing down and securing NOS tubes. It is a lot of fun tube rolling, but I want to look at the engineering angle of the component to gain more performance. I also thought about an upgrade of the tube sockets,HiFi Fuse, and replacement IEC.
Any help and advice appreciated
