I've got my Candela on order!

Can't wait.  But it appears I'm a little late to pull the trigger as Odyssey has quite a back log.  Klaus explained how they're working feverishly to build the Candela but the reality is that I'm going to have to wait a couple of months.  He commented that there are multiple audio magazines calling for a review piece, but for now he's working to process his customers orders first.  Makes me feel good that Odyssey places the customer ahead of industry pressure.  I'm sure once he gets caught up we'll see a formal review in the press.

Yeah the wait stinks, but I read this to mean that the Candela is for real and will be a very successful product.

My $0.02   Cheers

Yep, me too, can't wait--- mine should be close to being finished ( currently 5weeks has passed since ordering )  Funny thing is, you have to dig to find out info on it.  They still haven't even added it to their website.  Guess they don't need to show the general public that it's ready for production if the demand from word of mouth and audio newsgroups is still fueling the backorder.  Why not hire someone else to help answer phones, return emails, update website, etc...?  Maybe that's how Odyssey keeps prices so very very low and bang for the buck high.

Get well soon Klaus!!!

Klaus tries to spend at least 2 minutes a year updating the website..... :o

His attention is on the products and it shows in the quality of his work.....

The wait is the only negative about buying from Klaus. I believe he once said that Odyssey's staff is "Two and a half people". With the big orders from RMAF he's gonna be even busier than ever!

Yup.  He told me 6-8 weeks for my monos.  But I'll wait - I'd rather have them done right.

Yeah the wait stinks...
I empathize with you. However, the record for waiting for product may belong to Dr. Xin's customers related to the last round of upgrades to Xin's head-amps:wink:

I couldn't agree more.  Much, MUCH rather see Odyssey take their time and deliver a perfect unit.  In fact I find it comforting to know that Odyssey does not (cannot) simply speed up their production to meet demand spikes.  This translates (to me anyway) a uniform attention to detail and uncompromised quality control.   :thumb:

I'll be busy over the Holidays anyway, so this will give me something to look forward to in Jan...along with the NFL playoffs.   (Go Bengals  :D   :o   :green:  )

I'm betting the half person is that little dog he seems to always have in tow! Seriously, he's a good man, and is well worth the wait.

How cool would that be.  Having your dad own a high-fi mfg. business.

here's thought on the subject, and this is from having four sons. The best part for his son is that he gets to see (and maybe test drive) the product line. But the bad part is that you might have trouble keep plaster on the walls when he cranks those amps up!

Klaus himself loves to crank the system up. The Odyssey room got seriously loud during RMAF! It might be a case of "Dad, could you please turn it DOWN!".
