My system is on 24/7. Usually got a tuner hooked up playing some jazz radio. I don't like walking into a quiet home. Sometimes I leave it on the radio, but most times I'll pop in a CD. I listen to music everyday.

Dang, I cannot do this because my system is sharing its spot with a 19" CRT TV, which is eagerly watched by my father, my dog and my son(1 year old), if they are all together there. I cannot ever imagine having it on 24/7 especially because my Final Music 6 is solely carbon battery based (36 D batteries.) which would run off within one day or so, if it is on.
Whenever I fire up my system, I try to get to listen to it at least 3+ hours, or what is the point or firing it up, I say to myself. About 4 days ago, I had my entirely overhauled HK Twin Transformer 430 receiver plugged to a pair of Gershman X-1s with the source being an internet radio station in the Itunes RADIO folder. I was stunned at the music that it produced...Traditional instrumental Iranian tunes or older vocal tunes. It was nifty. I listened to it for at least 4 hours, I believe.
