LX I Questions ...
« on: 2 Oct 2006, 04:47 am »
Just saw the new website  :thumb: ...

This may seem like an odd inquiry, but is it possible/reasonable to do an LX I with the 16 ohm woofer?  My tube amps would love the friendly load, but I'm curious if there are other caveats that would arise .  Also, any ideas yet as to the low frequency response of the LX I?

Thanks!

Sure we can look at the LXI with the RA165.16 driver. The network will be a little more work due to the ribbon load up top end.But yes OK to do.

The LXI will be released next month with the kits as well. And the tuning all depends on the size of cabinet you are going after.

Or you can look at Open baffle?

Open baffle would probably be out of the question.  Actually, the LX II would be perfect, if only I had a real room -- which really may happen some time in the next year.  I just want to find something that's an easy load for my tube amps (and something with a flat frequency response, unlike single-driver speakers), and a 16 ohm standmount would be amazing.  I'll keep my eye out for updates on the LX I :green:.
