Joan Osborne: Pretty Little Stranger

I think I will be getting this one.  http://music.barnesandnoble.com/search/product.asp?r=1&ean=0015707981026    I don't know why but I get more goosebumps from female vocals than any other instrument.   The funny thing is that I feel recharged after listening to women singing sad songs. :dunno:  I even went to a New Years Eve concert by Cowboy Junkies!   How sad is that?

As long as she stays away from anything Dead I am fine with her. Hearing her sing King Bee makes babies cry....

I'm still trying to imagine what a Cowboy Junkies New Years Eve concert is like.  Was the audience all people who came alone?  Was the suicide hotline present?  Did they do an extra slow version of Sweet Jane as the ball fell?

It sure as hell isn't like seeing Phish on New Year's Eve at Madison Square Garden!!  :banana piano:

Margot was pretty humorous about it.  She said she couldn't for the life of her figure out why 9:30 Club would ask them to do a New Years's show, but she said she would do her best to close out the year.  I didn't really pay attention to what kind of crowd it was but there may have been more singles than couples.  I think it was more groups of single friends than loners.  It was actually quite nice and yes, I "danced" to their songs.  It was like all night of slow dances.  She sang Auld Lang Syne at midnight.
