Help me James.
« on: 5 Sep 2006, 09:16 am »
Hi James,
I have two of your 7B SST amps and these are fed by a TAG Mc Laren AV32DP processor.

I have tried every which way to get the TAG to switch on the Brystons at start up but nothing work.

You see there is no 12 volt trigger on the TAG.

My poor old feet are getting tired of going to switch on and off these brystons.

Can you think of anything that I can try to get my Brystons switched on when I power up the TAG??

I know that the voltage from the RCA sockets just isnt high enough - is there any way that I can amplify this to get the right voltage?

James Tanner - you are my only hope!

Hi there,

I use of these units in one of my demo rooms. When used with the CSM1 current sensing module you can configure the unit to output a 12V trigger signal when ever it detects that the Tag Processor has been powered up.

I hope this helps.

Hello Chris, this is very interesting, and is the only time that this has been suggested.

Just for my interest, do I need both of these units to get the system working?

Thanks CBW

Since the first item is a Xantech CBCSM1 Connecting Block for CSM1 Current Sensor and the text says it "Requires a CSM1 Current Sensor", I would guess both the Connecting block and Current Sensor would be required.

See here for installation instruction pdf from Xantech.

Thanks Brucek - all is now very clear and have ordered the units.

This will save me having to get off my fat Ar#* to switch my Brystons on and off ! !

The stuff arrived this week, and i nstalled yesterday.

Now a very happy man - I dont have to walk the three metres across the room to switch ON / OFF my Brystons - all done from the comfort of my armchari.

Thanks to everyone who gave me the advice.
