Lately I've been tweaking my system, and I think I've gone as far as I will with the preampifier and CD player. I have settled with using the Adona 45 Series Platform under my TRL Sony DVP-900V player. I tried numerous isolation feet under the Sony player, but always experienced the same promlem. The Sony doesn't have a flat surface underneath which prohibits proper placement of isolation feet. The Adona platform works very well and provided increased performance. The player's soundstage has spread and opened with better imaging and air. Bass has tightened and dynamics have quickened. Detail retrieval and extension is more see through. Using the Adona Platform combined with the Boston Audio Design Standard Tune Block (Version 2 with Carbide balls) took the SAS Audio Labs 10A to another level. The effect was very similar to using the Adona Platform under the CD player. I would recommend that anyone with a tube linestage try the Adona/Tune Block combo. The combined price of both are just under $300.00. And for those of you with similar CD players that don't have a level bottom, the Adona Platform is highly recommended.
