NEED HELP
« on: 25 Oct 2006, 02:47 pm »
Hi All,

I found this posted on Audio Asylum and am dumbfounded that this has occurred.

I have sent an email to Quadzilla directly through Audio Asylum but I am not a member.

Are there any other suggestions as to how to reach this customer?

Does anyone know if there are any reputable independent service centres for Bryston equipment? Bryston have ignored my e-mails, and frankly I am no longer comfortable dealing with them anyway ... and I can't believe that I have to admit that since I used to be such a cheerleader. I am in London, Ontario. Even though the problem with my BP25 is likely under warranty, I am willing to pay to have it repaired. Any advice is appreciated.

I read that thread yesterday and was somewhat surpirsed. 'Hope that you can get it sorted out.

It's easy enough to become a member of AA but I don't belive that you have to be to post in the thread if you so choose.

James - I was the one who responded to him initially with your E-Mail address and made a few suggestions to have him get the problem resolved.  I am a member.  I'll see what I can do.  If he accepts he mails from members I can send him this thread.

Thanks Phil.

It is really a strange story and we have a local Bryston dealer in his town - they know nothing about him or the problem.

I'd say that there is no better customer service than to ask for help and have the manufacturer track you down.  This has to be one of the best examples of customer service that I have witnessed.  Great job James!  :thumb:

Quadzilla, I hope that your problem is resolved to your satisfaction.

Absolutely! Couldn't agree more. Well done James. You and your organisation are what companies should aspire to.

Mr. Tanner, the only reason that I registered here was to thank you for your concern, and to advise you that I am incredibly sorry that I even opened this can of worms in the first place.  I was just looking for a bit of advice.  I did not realize that the "industry" was monitoring the posts ... and please leave the local dealer out of it.  I did not buy the unit from them, and it is not their problem.  I really had hoped that someone would say, "sure, give Billy a call, he can look after that for you".  I did not anticipate, nor did I want to be the subject of this forum.

No problem. Please contact me at Bryston and we will get this sorted out for you.

Thank you for your offer Mr. Tanner, but I am very sure that you will not be able to do anything with this.  I appreciate your concern though.

Mr. Tanner's response is exactly why I will never own any amp, preamp (and possibly CD player coming up)  other than a Bryston.  C'mon, what other audio company in the world is going to have a high level exec searching public forums for a potentially dissaatistied customer to fix the problem?  Often it's the other way around.   Sometimes I just have to shake my head in disbelief at Bryston - it's almost comical how good they are.  Keep it up Mr Tanner & Bryston

Well, apparently even though James and I have told you that we have come to a mutually satisfactory solution (if it was ANY of your business in the first place); some of you still feel that it is your duty to continue to trash me back in AA.

Rather than to justify my initial reluctance to deal with Bryston to these dick-heads, I would ask James to explain that the initial problem was not NEAR as straightforward as these mindless busybodies seem to think.

James, if you think that these old biddies were trying to help you, you are sadly mistaken.  If they had been, you would think they would be pleased to see that we have come to a resolution rather than continuing to stir the $hit.

This is not AA, so keep your fight at AA, don't waste the bandwidth and storage of this forum. I'm sure James has better things to do.

Who are you to speak for James?  I am certain that he can speak for himself.  It was James in fact who came to AA and ASKED me to come to this forum when I was content to let things slide along as they were.  If he has better things to do, isn't that his determination?  What a pompous twit you are 95bcwh.

People - can't we let this one die as being resolved between the parties having the issues?  I was probably among the initial (if not the 1st) who responded to the AA post and when I saw James' post I contacted Quadzilla.  I could care less what the issue is, it does not involve me.  This is a hobby and should be enjoyed.  We should be thankful of all the choices we have - not one flavor fits all.  I helped a friend of mine a couple weeks back who bought a new DLP TV and brought over my AVIA disc after he complained about picture quality with his new DVD player.  I resolved his issue.  While I was over there when we tested some DVDs, I noted he wasn't getting Dolby Digital.  He has no center and Bose double cubes front and rear.  Not my taste.  I explained a couple of things to him and volunteered to bring my SPL meter.  He told me he resolved it and is getting Dolby Digital and is happy.  If the sub level or rear levels are too high or too low it is not my business.  It is his system to use the way he wishes.  There are way too many people on audio or home theater boards who feel the need to convert others to their way of thinking whether it is about cables or equipment.  Just enjoy your own stuff.

He is the one started it. He's trying to bring the fight over from AA to AC. What's wrong with telling such people to stay away? This is not a fight forum.

Hi All,

OK -time to explain given Quadzilla's permission.

I was also confused by the fact that someone who wanted assistance was not accepting that assistance. As it turned our Quadzilla was communicating with what he thought were Principal's of the company above me and that even if I wanted to help I could not.

Obviously he had no idea how really important I am! --- seriously,  once I explained that his issue was fixable and that I would personally deal with the solution all was well.

James, your service is:

stellar, outstanding, superb, out of this world, heavenly, dazzling.....  :thumb:

I can't find other words. Reading such stories like these make me wonder how you make money with your products.

I once experienced the famous Bryston service myself, and I couldn't believe how well Bryston solved my problem with no cost at all!!

That's the reason why there is only one brand to consider when buying new equipment: BRYSTON  :D
And be sure, when my study finishes in a few years - the very first thing I'm going to buy is a BIG, BLACK, BRYSTON!!

Mine too.  Bryston builds their equipment to very high standards and offers the best service (20 yr. unlimited unconditional warranty).

Best,

I must agree.  I have chosen Bryston for it's performance.

Having an excellent customer service and post support is just an icing on the cake.

20 Years Warranty?  I have no worries that my investment with Bryston products will be a smart move.
