Who is Heart? Is that one of Danny's favorite Chicks Singing?
During the very
first NTAJ get-together at shooter's place (thanks, Ka!), I brought along "Heart: The Road Home" which contains acoustic versions of their more popular songs. (I enjoy some of the songs, although I don't consider myself a Heart fan. It is, however, a well recorded disk, which is why I used it for auditioning gear.) One track from that disk was used to compare gear at shooter's, and thus was played quite a bit. I then made the mistake of playing it again at a later get-together at Art's old place, and he has been heckling me mercilessly ever since!
Of course, the number of times that I've played that track is still lower than the number of pre-amps that Art has auditioned this year, so it isn't hard for me to return the heckling!
I generally enjoy instrumental work more than vocal work, which is why I occasionally tease Danny about always playing "single female vocals". I freely admit, however, that his vocal choices are generally excellent, and, of course, he
does actually play other types of music. In fact, he introduced me to the ":Jesse Cook: Gravity" disk at the amp shoot, which I've probably played more than any other disk since I received it a few months ago.
