A heads up for people who want to drive their digital amps for biamping or HT applications.  I just got one of these to use to biamp my speakers with my JVC ES1 and tube amps. It's amazing what they can pack into these units for such little cost these days. Burr Brown 24/96 DAC and Motorola DSP. Works wonderfully and sounds great. The 16V wal-wart power supply could be improved upon though. I'm thinking I might try to replace this with a battery supply.

so does anyone here have some experience with this piece  ?    I picked one up for 85 bucks  used including shipping.        Just want to try and experiment in my small room and see what the fuss is all about with surround sound....  I'll Hook up my stereo as fronts and some nice computer speakers as rears ( Labtec edge 418 electrostatic with sub)

My video is an infocus 4805  --- Diy screen --- Toshiba sd360e HDMI dvdplayer ( using component)\\

Ok, so I connected the Decoder to my stereo and two sets of labtec electrostatic computer speakers...

I like surround sound,  much better than stereo for movies!      The computer speakers aren't the best for voices (lack of power and size of electrostatic satellite)  I think I'll get something better sometime!

The sound is quite impressive for this price,    Watching Donnie darko I got a fright when the rabbit first spoke ...
