After 8 to 12 years the foam surround on woofers deteriorates to the poine that bits start falling off. The foam can be replaced, restoring the speaker to like-new performance.
I also upgrade speakers with cabinet modifications, better crossover parts, drivers, wire, terminals.
I give free estimates and charge a much lower hpurly rate than service shops must charge because of their business expenses. (There are advantages to being a home based business.) And I like working on speakers, so I welcome speaker work even thought it's not a big money maker.
