Lite Audio NOT developing USB?

I just asked a Lite Audio dealer about this, which was news to him.  He then talked to Lite Audio, who denied completely any USB input developments of their DAC's.  Danny, who at Lite Audio is telling you they are "working on" USB?

What other Lite Audio dealer?

Where are you getting this info?

That is not what I was told.

I don't know for sure, but I'd have to guess that he was referring to the Pacific Valve & Electric Company.

It's a dealer located in Hong Kong, who sells/ships to U.S. directly.

  They are not a dealer. They are the only authorized distributor. Any that are available comes from them.

I am also a little skeptical about the mods from Pacific Value.

We replaced a majority of the capacitors with WIMA Black
Box Metallized Polypropylene,

Those are cheap caps and no different that what is in there.

In there picture of the modded board, I only see one pair of caps that has been changed that this could be. It is in the upper left hand corner (with a white zip tie around it) and in a non-critical area.

No changes in the power supply caps or audio circuit are seen except the output coupling caps.

They also claim...

Mcap Supreme Silver / Oil caps and Elna caps for audio.

The Mcap Supreme Silver / Oil caps are NOT used. In fact in the output coupling cap area where these are claimed to be, they will not even fit in there. And they are about $50. a piece.

What is in there are the standard M-cap that is much like a Solen or Axon poly cap. They are about $3.00 each.

This was a cap that at one time was an upgrade from DIYkits.

They also claim...

We also replaced the stock Electro Harmonix 6922 Tubes with Sovtek 6992 Tubes

The funny thing is that they often come with the Sovtek tubes from the factory and they are about the same as the Electro Harmonix and cost about the same as well.

I am not sure that I see much of an upgrade there on anything.

Er, AH, - aren't you slightly biased becasue Pacific Valve is a competitor of yours? And they sell Lite audio products at a lower cost than you do?

Have you heard the modded version?  I have and it is completely different than the stock DAC 60 and gives it a sound that is a cut above.  I asked them about the Mcap claims on their website and they will be updating their website to soon.

In all honesty, their modded version is well worth the money.

That doesn't mean I can't look at what they are offering and know that what they are advertising is not what is shown.

Not really, our price includes shipping. It's about the same.

I also asked the supplier about this company and they responded with these: "He has request both Liteaudio to supply the DAC to them but Liteaudio has refuse them. So he has no stock in hand. He is not a offical dealer in US."

Why? I have them here. I have upgraded them as well. I know what differences there are in a stock version and one with just these basic mods. It is an upgrade over stock in that the output coupling caps are changed, but certainly a lot more can be done to them.

They are all well worth the money even stock.
