This movie is loosely based on
actual events. It is a character study set in west Texas. I found this movie's non-linear plot, interconnected storyline, and morbid sense of humor to be a little like
Pulp Fiction. The movie has good acting and pacing, and the scenery is great. You will appreciate it more if you live in the Southwest. It leaves a major issue unresolved at the end, but this movie is more about the journey than the destination.
