NITRO speaker cable?

Wayne,

When the excitement of the CES dies down, do let us know about the NITRO speaker cable!  Can you describe what it is, and how it sounds compared to the cross connected speaker cable that you recently discontinued?

Cheers,

- Jay

NITRO speaker cable?

Hello Jay.

I got back into Denver last night and I am still a little fried :)

The airline has misplaced my bag which has my DI/O. digital camera and my hand tools

I would post a picture of the cable but it is kind of hard without my camera :?

The design is very simple. It is a slight variation of a starquad configuration. It is using wire based on the same ideas I used in the NITRO interconnect. It is stranded with a total AWG of around 11 and it is white Teflon insulated.

The wire bundle is encapsulated in white irradiated polyolefin and then covered with white flame retardant Techflex, which has a black crisscross tracer running through it.

Brian Cheney listen to this cable for the first time at CES and he chose it to use for the center channel in the three channel Trinaural demo. He said it was an amazing cable :D

The only speaker cables he has heard that were better were the $20,000.00 worth of Kimber Kable Select KS-1033, which were used in a bi-amp configuation for the L and R speakers.

Brian was easily able to tune the speakers so that there was little to no difference between the three channels.

I was VERY pleased that my $600.00 for a 10 foot pair of speakers cables was that close to sounding like a $20,000.00 pair of cables :D

Tyson has the new speaker cables. He replaced the CC89259 with them. He would be the best person to comment about the difference at this point.
