An Ebay win, how did I do?

I won a pair of new Nordost Blue Heaven Rev II 1 meter interconnects for $110 with shipping.

Did I get a decent deal? Will I be happy with them? Will they get me off the audio hamster wheel for a bit?

Those are all good questions that only you can answer.  But let's not let facts get in the way of proper audio advice.

No, definitely not.  $110 is a good price one should pay PER CENTIMETER.  A complete set of cables (TWO of them) should cost at least $1100.  It's only rational.  It's unlikely that spending so little could be considered a deal, unless of course you plan on using them for suspenders.

Will I be happy with them?

At first yes, but then a creeping sense of unease will set in, followed by crippling depression and eventually full on crying.

Not likely.  This will be the first in a series of bad purchase decisions which will eventually leave you broke and destitute on the streets.  I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that's the way I see this purchase of Nordust Blue Heaven Rev II cables.  But be strong doublej, we're all pulling for ya.

Sounds about right to me. I was sooo happy with my 1970s setup, a Pioneer integrated with a Hitachi tuner and a pair of Burhoe Crimsons.

Over the years, I tweaked it up with a $5 P&S outlet, free 12 gauge speaker wire, a pair of RS Gold interconnects on closeout for $5 and the highly underrated free aluminum foil CD destaticizer.  It was the bomb.

Then I got itchy and started to buy 'real stuff'. It started with an Onkyo T-9 tuner that's not much better than the Hitachi and went steadily downhill from there, sort of like my ability to pick stocks.
